Amersham Museum is marking the 500th anniversary of the first New Testament in English with a range of events and activities. On Wednesday, 8th July 2026, from 7-8:30 p.m., Ann-Marie Miller, director of Codex Conservation Ltd, will introduce the discipline of book conservation and how she became a conservator, in the context of conserving Amersham Museum's original 1611 edition of the King James Bible.
The talk will be in the Museum’s Woodcock Room which is on the first floor, accessible by a platform lift. The event costs £13 which includes a glass of wine or soft drink. Amersham Museum is at 49 High Street, Old Amersham, Bucks., HP7 0DP.

The British Library in London has an exhibition called "The Power of the Printed Word: Tyndale's New Testament 1526-2026". The British Library has one of only three known copies of William Tyndale's original 1526 New Testament. The exhibition is in the Treasures Gallery on the ground floor of the British Library at 96 Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB, next to St Pancras Station.
The exhibition is free to attend. It opened on 28th February and will remain open until Monday 29th June 2026.

Our Garden Party in 2025 was a great success. This year, our Chairman Emeritus is opening the grounds of her delightful farmhouse near Wendover in Bucks, for the 2026 garden party from 12:30 p.m. on Saturday 27th June 2026.
Bring a picnic and chat with other members and listen to a short talk as we celebrate the 500th anniversary of William Tyndale's New Testament. Entry is free. Dogs and children are welcome.

There will be a talk at the Tewkesbury Abbey Theology Forum about William Tyndale, given by Neil Rees on Wednesday 24th June 2026. The title is: "William Tyndale, the 500th Anniversary of his English New Testament".
The event is free and starts with refreshments at 7 p.m. It will take place in the Abbey Parish Hall, at Church Street, Tewkesbury, Glos GL20 5RZ, in the west of England. It will be followed by the talk at 7:30 p.m.
