searching for tyndale

The King James Bible Research Council (KJBRC) has created a new five-part documentary series which explores the life, work, and enduring influence of William Tyndale on the 500th anniversary of his New Testament.

It was filmed on location across England and the series visits the churches, libraries, monuments, memorials and surviving artefacts that preserve Tyndale’s story. It follows his journey from the English countryside to the centres of learning and power, thence to the persecution and reform that shaped his mission to give the Scriptures to the English people.

The YouTube premiere is on 6th October at 4 p.m. (American Eastern Standard Time) and 10 p.m. (British Summertime) and will feature the first episode: “The Salt of the Earth.” This opening chapter travels through North Nibley and Oxford, visiting the Tyndale Monument, the Tyndale Window at Magdalen College, the Martyrs’ Memorial, and the Martyrs’ Cross on Broad Street.
