'Tyndale Talks' began as an idea from Neil Rees, in conversation with Mary Clow and Marilyn Button. The idea for the name 'Tyndale Talks' came from Mary Clow and Marilyn Button ran with it. Since then it has been a popular monthly meeting where people from around the world meet online. The first quarter of an hour is spent in general chat and then it's over to the speaker: an expert on a subject of interest to our members. After that, we launch into friendly questions and conversation. You can see the previous talks listed on the sub-menu, including an early talk by Prof. David Daniell, founder of the Tyndale Society.
Tyndale Talks are held monthly, normally on the second Friday of the month. They are organised jointly by the Tyndale Societies of the United Kingdom and the United States. They are broadcast online via Zoom and open to anyone to attend. Talks are held at 7:15 p.m. London time, which is 8:15 p.m. (20:15) European time or, for participants from the USA and Canada, at 2:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time which is 11:15 a.m. Pacific time.
All participants are invited to propose presentation topics to Neil Rees or Marilyn Button and are encouraged to submit their research in essay form to the Tyndale Journal. Talks are usually recorded and recordings of previous talks are available on request. To get a link, or to access a previous talk, please email Marilyn Button. Many of these talks are added to the Tyndale Talks YouTube channel.
