On Saturday 30th May, members of the Tyndale Society joined others for a Tudor walking tour of Amersham in Buckinghamshire, which started and ended at Amersham Museum.
The tour was led by volunteers who dressed in Tudor costume and explained the history and practicalities of Tudor life, food, trade, buildings, clothing, health, work and religion.

The tour went into the parish church to explain about Tudor religion and faith and the local Lollards. We then walked up the hill to visit the Lollard Memorial at the site where Lollards were martyred in the early 1500s.
The tour lasted about three hours. It was a very hot day but it was brought alive by knowledgeable and humourous guides dressed in period costume.
