On Saturday 20th June, friends and members of the Tyndale Society met in London and went on a biblical tour of the British Museum. Our tour was led by a good friend of the Tyndale Society, Dr Hywel Clifford, Lecturer in Old Testament Studies at Ripon College Cuddesdon, Oxford.
He led us through the Egyptian, Assyrian, Babylonian, and Greek sections of the Museum, seeing items with inscriptions in hieroglyphs and cuneiform, showing us objects and monuments from the biblical era.

Afterwards we walked to the British Library and saw the "Let There Be Light" and "Sacred Texts" exhibition of English Bibles from Wycliffe to the King James Version, including original copies of Tyndale's 1525 Cologne Fragment, his 1526 New Testament and his translation of Erasmus's Enchridion.
It was a hot day but we all learnt a lot and had a great day together.
