Made in Worms Exhibition - 26 September 2026

Made in Worms

The Peter Schoeffer Foundation (Stiftung Peter Schoeffer) in Worms, Germany is celebrating the 500th anniversary of the publication of William Tyndale's New Testament in Worms with an exhibition from 26th September 2026 to 10th January 2027.

The title will be "Made in Worms – William Tyndale's New Testament 1526". It will focus on the creation of Tyndale's New Testament. As part of this, the only pristine copy of Tyndale's 1526 New Testament (which is normally to be found in Stuttgart) will return to Worms for the first time since it was published and will be on display at the City of Worms Museum (Museum der Stadt Worms), Weckerlingplatz 7, 67547 Worms, in Rhineland, Germany. The opening ceremony is on 25th September 2026. For further details of the exhibition, see the link below.

Tyndale monument sign

The Bible Society is organising a fundraising walk of the Tyndale Trail from the Tyndale sculpture in Bristol to the Tyndale Monument at North Nibley, Gloucestershire. The walk is twenty-six (26) miles long and will take place over two days on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th September, 2026. Participants will follow in the footsteps of William Tyndale, going to places connected to him with a guide from the Tyndale Society.

The aim is to raise money for the Bible Society. The expedition itself (including accommodation and logistics) will cost £150 per person to take part, but each member of the group will be expected also to raise some money for the Bible Society. Here is a short word from our sponsor:
