The Tyndale Society Reformation journal has been issued since January 1996, Now in its 31st year, the first 2026 edition of the Reformation journal is now out. It is a bumper thick issue. In fact, at 232 pages, it is the thickest ever and has a special focus on recusancy.

The latest July edition of Premier Christianity magazine has a feature on Bible translation inspired by the 500th anniversary of the English New Testament. This includes an article on William Tyndale’s New Testament, supplied by the Tyndale Society, which is on page 42.

I was recently commissioned to create a handcrafted solid oak bench to mark the 500th anniversary of William Tyndale’s translation of the Bible into English. Having previously made a number of these benches and, in particular, one for the Keepers in Wotton-under-Edge, I was delighted to be asked to produce this special commemorative piece.
The bench measures 2.3 metres in length and features a hand-carved motif in the middle of the backrest depicting the Tyndale Monument with an open Bible superimposed over it. The carving celebrates Tyndale’s enduring legacy and his pioneering work in making the Scriptures accessible in English.
On Saturday 11th July 2026, the bench was installed in concrete in the peaceful garden of the chapel at North Nibley, Gloucestershire, where visitors can enjoy a direct view of the Tyndale Monument standing proudly on the hill above. Funded through local support, the project provides a lasting tribute to one of England’s most influential reformers and offers a place to rest and reflect.
It will be a welcome stopping point for pilgrims passing through the village, as well as for walkers on the Cotswold Way, who can pause to enjoy both the surroundings and the spectacular view of the monument.

On Tuesday, 7th July 2026, Tom Martin and Prof Marilyn Button from the Tyndale Society USA were interviewed by Chris Arnzen on his "Iron Sharpens Iron" radio show platform and podcast which is based in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, USA.
The show broadcasts for two hours each weekday from 4 p.m to 6 p.m. The two-hour broadcast covered questions about the Tyndale Society and the lIfe and works of William Tyndale.

A new, very nice Tyndale article was published on 30th June 2026 in "The Conversation", which claims to stand for "Academic rigour, journalistic flair".
The article was written by Michael Bruening, Professor of History at the Missouri University of Science and Technology, and is entitled: "500 years ago, the first New Testament in English was published – and stirred up a hornet’s nest". It's well worth a read!
